Did Barry Cable lose his leg?

Barry Cable severely injured his leg in a tractor accident. He pleaded with surgeons not to remove it and after getting over associated surgery and infections he kept the leg but walks with a limp. This hasn't stopped him remaining fit: he still partakes in charity bike ride, including one where he rode across Australia.
