AnswerThe 94 serial number indicates is was manufactured in 1911 to 1912. the 2006 blue book has it in the 400 to 450 range. but to a collector it would be worht more. AnswerBlue Book values reflect collector prices when they are higher than a gun is worth as a firearm. But, as with any collectable, many times guide book prices are a year or so out of date by the time they are published, so collectors often pay more than "book price".

ANSWER: the 44 magnum wasn't even invented until 1956.

The 94AE was introduced in the 1980's, based on the late serial number of over 6 million this rifle of yours was made in the last years that the 44 mag was offered in the 94AE, which would be the last year or so of Winchester making the 94, putting manufactur around late 2005 or more likely 2006.

IN UNFIRED as NEW condition , NRA Excellent, they sell $450 to $550 currently on auction sites on line, in Very Good to Good condition they are 10 to 20% less. I bought a ser # 6000000 ( 6 million) today for $425 in unfired mint condition.

Answer

Sorry to butt in, but the manufacture year would have to be quite a bit earlier then 2005 or 2006. I inherited one from my grandfather in 2001 that he owned for quite a while before passing it on to me. Its serial number is: 6361221. Again, I am sorry especially since I am very knew to this hobby and am learning as I go.
