Some things that happened in 1768 in the United States were that Samuel Adams wrote a letter opposing the Townshend Taxes, the first patriotic song, Liberty Song, was published, and English troops came to Boston. Some other events that occurred in 1768 was that Captain James Cook went to explorer the Pacific Ocean and the first Encyclopedia Britannica was published.
