Can you accumulate mileage with individual airlines booked by Orbitz?

Yes. The airlines consider Orbitz to be a travel agency in this regard. When you make an Orbitz booking, you will have an opportunity to enter your frequent flyer number. If you don't do it then, you can do it later, or contact the airline after your flight for retroactive credit.
