How did isolationism affect the spread of Christianity in Korea?

Isolationism in Korea, particularly during the Joseon Dynasty, limited foreign influence and restricted the spread of Christianity. However, the arrival of Western missionaries in the late 19th century coincided with the decline of isolationist policies, allowing Christianity to gain a foothold.
