How do I position the wiper motor arm with the linkage so it does not bind on a 1990 Montero?

Take off the wiper arms, turn off wipers then put the arms back on about 3 inches above the rubber seal on the bottom of the windshield. Unless you didn't put the linkage on correctly when you removed it. Mine sits towards the driverside on the motor.
