Are boys taller than girls

Adult men are, on average, 13 cm taller than adult women. However, boys start growing later than girls. Once boys do start growing, they grow faster than the girls do. So, between the ages of 8 and 14, girls are often taller than boys, but most boys catch up by the time they are 20 years old.
