What is the first thing that comes to mind when someone says Green?

HERE ARE THE EIGHT MOST COMMON REACTIONS IN THE US:

1) Green Light (GO) - traffic signal, used metaphorically

2) Money - another analogy, i.e. greenbacks for banknotes

3) Environmentally Responsible - as typified by the Green Party or Greenpeace organization

4) Grass, Trees, Leafy vegetables - greenery, salad greens

5) Lack of Experience - beginner or novice, e.g. "greenhorn"

6) Covetousness or Jealousy - green with envy

7) Seasickness - "green around the gills"

8) Mildew and Mold - typified by algae in ponds and pools
