You need to unhook the shifting linkage which typically is located on the top left side of the transmission then to keep the job clean you need to drain your Transmission Fluid by taking off your transmission pan. when you get that drained there should be 10 to 12 bolts by your bell housing which is where that transmission connects to the engine. after that you have to unhook your rear drive shaft if its a 4x4 youll need to remove the front one also. then there will be a cross brace. looseen up the bolts but don't take them all the way out. there also will be two bolts in the center of the brace take those bolts out then get a jack under the transmission and jack it up till the mount under the transmission is free then take the bolt out of the crossmember then take the crossmember out then let your jack down slowly
