Is a child licking a pen dangerous?

Well, everyone says that you can get ink poisoning if you get ink in your blood stream. This doesn't happen very often. if the child is literally licking all the ink out of the pen then its dangerous, but if they are licking the nib then it isn't.

it is quite uncommon to get ink poisoning.
