He could be shy and can't get the Words out as to how he feels about you or even to ask you out on a date. Either that or he's a leturer. If your friends think he likes you then it's possibly true. Stand up for yourself and say "Hey, enough with the hugs already, if you want to ask me out on a date, then ask."
