Are there such things as giants?

The giants reported in mythology do not exist. A principle called the square-cube law increases mass as the cube of the height but the strength of the bones and muscles by the square of the height. Giants, whether giant ants as in the old B Movie "Them", Godzilla, or the giant in the Jack and the Beanstalk story would be crippled by there weight and comparatively fragile bones or cooked to death by their own body heat as at the surface of their skin (for cooling) only increases as the square of theorize while the heat generating process of their metabolism increases by the cube. Skeptics would point to T-Rex as a "giant" animal without noting that a frequently observed injury is broken legs from turning to sharply.
