If a guy knows you like him and he purposely leads you on but tells his friend he wants you to leave him alone BUT still talks to you first what is he trying to do?

maybe he didnt mean to say that to his friend. Say to him in a kind and civil way 'why did you tell your friend that you wanted me to leave you alone, but your still talking to me?' then you'll have the answer.

let him know that you really like him, and want that you want to speak to him more. And also let him know that if he wants you to leave him alone then say it to you, not to his friend.
