How many tubes would you need for your blood draw to process lab exams order for a CBC HCG HIV and Chem-screen panel?

CBC lavender top tube, HCG separate red top tube (if sending to outsourced lab) HIV blue top tube and Chem panel red top tube. So most likely 4 tubes.

At our office, we would need a lavender top for CBC, a tiger top for HCG and chem panel, and a separate, full tiger top for HIV. The answer really depends on your work setting and the type of HIV test that is being performed at the lab.
