Are the games of Nintendo DS XL the same with Nintendo 3DS?

Yes and no.

The games you are able to play in your DS XL can also be played in your 3DS, but they will not be in 3D. The 3DS games can only be played in your 3DS, and not in your DS XL (or any previous model) at all.
