Yes. The Longman Secondary Histories textbook "The early modern age" by L E Snellgrove says that " No man was better qualified to play the Renaissance prince."

A Renaissance Prince, King Henry was indeed, he wrote poetry, and songs, he could fight, eat, play, and design. He created several castles in England, and designed their gardens. he was interested in mathematics, spoke several languages and enjoyed people of wit.
