The Swahili for lawyer is mwanasheria, which coukld mean solicitor, barrister, or advocate.

Hekimu means judge, but jaji from the English is frequently heard. One who decides is mwamuzi. Hekimuis better for a court of law, and jaji for contests, such as beauty pageants.
