Who opposed fidel Castro?

Fidel Castro faced opposition from various groups throughout his rule in Cuba, most notably from the anti-communist factions, including the CIA-backed Cuban exiles who attempted to overthrow him during the Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961. Other opposition came from political dissidents, such as the Cuban Communist Party's internal rivals and human rights activists, who criticized his authoritarian regime.
