Ray Allen holds the record for most 3 point shots made in a season. He made 269 3 pointers during the 2005-06 NBA season, while with the Seattle Supersonics. Doing so he passed the previous record of 267, achieved by Dennis Scott of the Orlando Magic, exactly a decade earlier, in the 1995-96 NBA season.
