How does nonrenewable form?

Nonrenewable resources form over millions of years through geological processes. Fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and natural gas, originate from the remains of ancient plants and animals that were buried under layers of sediment and subjected to heat and pressure. This process transforms organic material into energy-rich hydrocarbons, which are then extracted for use. Once depleted, these resources cannot be replenished within a human timescale, making them finite.
