How can only people rely on you?

People aren't the only ones that can rely on you for example, a dog that is left in a house relies on you to give it food although if your gone for long enough the dog will get it itself, another example a for a tree to rely on humans and animals to give off carbon dioxide so it can use the process photosynthesis to give it food and us oxygen. Sorry if i misunderstood your question
