When did pickpocketing start?

No one call tell for sure but it probably has been done since the beginning of times (or at least since people started to carry around money)

Removing someone else's possessions by stealth from a purse, belt, pocket or in the folds of their clothes has been with us as long as people have has objects of value and someplace to carry them.
