There are so many variables to this question that it is hard to answer. Usually when it comes to street lighting standards, the type is chosen by the electrical engineer that is in charge of the project. He talks to the customer and they settle on a specific type and style based on a certain price that the customer has a budget for. When the electrical contractor prices the job he goes to different wholesalers to get the best price for the specified fixture. To get a correct answer a specified fixture has to be stated.
