How do you reset the remote control of Mercedes c230?

Put key in ignition. Turn two clicks. Do not start car. Press and hold lock button. Turn back off with lock button still being held. Remove key. Now at the same time you are holding lock button, press unlock button five times about a second each. Test the unlock or lock button. Worked the first time for me. Took about eight seconds to complete!
