What do people think of acid rain?

I don't think many people give it much thought. It is a silent destroyer of coral reefs and forests but in general there is a huge cohort of people who are totally ignorant or even hostile towards any changes to our way wasteful way of life. Big companies will sell us Acid Rain tolerant GM trees rather than do something about it.I am afraid there is no money to be made in solving problems.
