Executive Branch= President and Vice President
(Legislative=House of Representatives and Senate. Judicial=Supurme Court)

The executive branch carries out laws made my the legislative branch. The executive branch consists of the President, the Vice President and 15 Cabinet-level executive departments.

President's Powers:

1. Sign or veto bills enacted by Congress, Congress may override the president with 2/3 vote

2. Power to nominate and sign treaties (must be ratified by 2/3 vote from the senate)

3. Issue executive orders
4. Unlimited power to extend pardons to criminals

Vice President's Role:

1. To be ready to assume the role of President at any time
