Is Jim Bailey the female impersonator gay?

Jim Bailey is alive and well and still performing at age 63. I've researched every internet and print resource, including a People magazine article dating back to 1974, and I haven't been able to find any reference to Mr. Bailey confirming his sexual orientation one way or the other.
