Gregoria de Jesus, also known as Lakambini or Ka Oriang, was given the moniker "Tagalog Joan of Arc" for her bravery and leadership during the Philippine Revolution against Spanish and American colonial rule. She was the wife of revolutionary leader Andres Bonifacio and played a crucial role in the revolution by aiding and supporting the Katipunan movement.
