On average how many dog coats are sold in the US every a year?

I find this a rather strange question but do the maths there are more then 10 million dogs in the entire world and more are born each day and more are sold each day, so if there are 10 million dogs in the world that would make about 2.3 million sold a year, which halving that would make 1.8 million leashes sold last year considering most people who buy dogs have had dogs before and still have alot of dog gear, including leashes, bowls, collars. ;)
