How long does a person take to make an initial judgment of another persons character and abilities?

This depends entirely on the person. Everyone is different. Some people are very good at reading body language and nonverbal clues, and telling what another person's character will be like. Others take longer and need to get to know the person more. Take your time and don't try to meet some arbitrary timeline!
