A better formula to use is 10.5 human years for the first 2 years of your dog, then 4 dog years per human year for each year after that. So, if your dog is 2 years old in human years, he/she is 21 years old in dog years. If your dog is 3 years old in human years, he/she is 25 years old in dog years.
