Why do we have government?

We have government because if we didn't, we would be in a state of nature, which is chaos you might say. We did not have a government because of the lack of knowledge our people had. We had one slight problem though. Who is in charge? We had to decide, fast. So, the best way was to form a government in order to protect us and our rights.
