Is homosexuality a choice

While there are countless opinions on this topic, and endless debate, there is no scientific evidence to support any answer currently other than, no, it is not a choice.

Virtually all gay people in the world believe they did not choose to be gay. In fact, most gay people spend a portion of their lives hiding it, or trying to deny it. Gay people face huge stigma, persecution, and denial of human rights, so there isn't a logical reason why anyone would choose to be gay.

New theories are looking at the combination of specific gene sequences along with gestational hormones as a possible lead. Whatever the cause, sexual orientation appears to be fixed at a young age, possibly birth.
