The Christian meal that celebrates salvation from sin and death?

Christianity holds the belief that Jesus died to save humanity from sin and eternal hellfire. Jesus broke bread with the disciples and drank wine with them, instructing them to do the same in memory of Him. The bread symbolizes Jesus' body, and the wine symbolizes His blood. The eating of bread and drinking of wine in memory of Jesus' blood and body given up for the salvation of humanity is called the Holy Communion.
