Is achievements and accomplishments the same thing?

An achievement is a goal that has been reached.

Ex. If you set a goal to finish college and you do, that is a goal the you have achieved (this something done for yourself).

An accomplishment is a job or a project that has been completed.

Ex. If you are working on building a skateboard park for a town or city and you complete the job, this is something you have accomplished (this is something done for someone else).
