How do Jaypaw Hollypaw and Lionpaw find out that Squirellflight is not their mother?

So far, in the book, it has been Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight BUT there is a theory going around that Jaypaw and possibly Hollypaw are children of Crowfeather and Leafpool INSTEAD of Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight. If you look closely there are hints littered all over the Power of Three Series. I support this theory because of three main reasons:

1. Genetics - Jaypaw and Hollypaw have some of Crowfeather's traits if you read all the details about the way they look. (Especially Jaypaw's eyes!!! Look at the cover of The Sight and Twilight it shows that Crowfeather's eyes and Jaypaw's are exactly alike - No one knows of anyone on Leafpool and Squirrelflight's side that has blue eyes!!!)

2. Leafpool - She acts a little too motherly around Jaypaw, Hollypaw, and Lionpaw (especially Jaypaw but that may just be because he blind...).

3. Squirrelflight - Squirrelflight said that her kits were born outside the hollow and she had to wait until they were old enough to walk before she brought them to camp. I think that she gave birth first then she had to wait for Leafpool to give birth so she could claim them as her own.

Yes, at first the books led us to believe that Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw were their parents, but in Long Shadows, Squirrelflight reveales that she is not their mother, but does not tell who the parents are. Many people believe the parents are Leafpool and Crowfeather because of the reasons listed above.

Umm ok so i havent actually read this far yet. im almost at the end of dark River. I know that some say that only Jaypaw is Laeafpool's kit but I think that if Leafpool had kits than all three would be hers. it makes more sense. I read a good point earlier. Jaypaw becomes JayFEATHER like CrowFEATHER and Hollypaw becomes hollyLEAF like LEAFpool. Why would Hollypaw become Hollyleaf if wasnt Leafpool's kit. and squirrrelflight apparetly does admit that the kits arent hers but that could be to save them from being hurt by Ashfur. Squirrelflight really wasnt in the nursery for very long and her milk didnt come.

But if the kits arent related to Brambleclaw then why do Tigerclaw and Halkfrost visit jaypaw and Lionpaw? and why would they help train Lionpaw? Everything else makes sense except this!

I think Tigerstar visited Jaypaw and Lionpaw because he was hoping to trick them into believing that they needed him, because he knew they would learn the big truth from Squirrelfight sooner or later, so they would be unstable and might come to him for answers. In the sneak peeks in Long Shadows and Great Bear Lake it shows that Lionpaw learnes that Tigerstar knew all along that the prophecy wasn't true and that he knew Squirrelflight wasn't their mother.

I also think that they're all Crowfeather and Leafpool's kits, because Squirrelflight didn't single out Lionpaw when she told them the truth. And besides, Lionblaze would have to be related to Firestar somehow (because they both have the same color pelts) so he could be related through Leafpool, just like he could through Squirrelflight.

If Tigerstar wanted to keep Lionpaw as his apprentice, he would have told Lionpaw that he wasn't Firestar's kin, so Lionpaw would be closer to him than ever before. Plus, how can there be three in the porphecy if one wasn't from the same parents? Jaypaw's dream says that the three were all originally from the lake, so they have to be related, just because they're so important that it just makes sense.

All three--Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Hollyleaf--are Leafpool and Crowfeather's kits. Squirrelflight brought them up as a favor to her sister, because Leafpool, as a medicine cat, is not allowed to have kits.

It says on the iphone app under Jaypaw, Lionpaw, and Hollypaw, that their mother is Leafpool and their father is Crowfeather. Under Squirrelflight it says no kits.-Zoeden123
