Your car made a popping noise then you lost all power steering what happened?

Was there any fluid leakage? if so, may have blown a high pressure line, if not, the bearings in your pump may have seized, undo the belt off the Power Steering pump, can you rotate the pulley by hand on the pump? If not, likely the bearings seized. If you can rotate it without a herculean effort, check your lines and fittings for any wear or loose connections. I'm assuming the popping noise originated from under the hood.
