Why are solar panels usually in black?

black absorbs the light!

and solar power uses the sun!

more sun absorption more solar power!

I thought the electrical current was produced by short-wave radiation, not infra-red (heat). in fact, as the heat goes up, the efficiency of the solar cell goes down.
