Thomas E. Bramlette (born January 3, 1817 in Cumberland County, Kentucky; died January 12, 1875 in Louisville, Kentucky) succeeded James F. Robinson as the twenty-third Governor of Kentucky, serving between September 1, 1863 and September 3, 1867.
Following the end of Bramlette's term as Governor of Kentucky, John L. Helm (born July 4, 1802 in Hardin County, Kentucky; died September 8, 1867 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky) became the twenty-fourth Governor of Kentucky, serving between September 3, 1867 and his death.
Following Helm's death in office, John W. Stevenson (born May 4, 1812 in Richmond, Virginia; died August 10, 1886 in Covington, Kentucky) became the twenty-fifth Governor of Kentucky, serving between September 8, 1867 and February 13, 1871.
