What do you use to clean a painted ceiling?

You can use a multipurpose cleaner. Just be sure that it is well diluted enough, so that it doesn't remove the paint by testing your cleaning solution in a small inconspicuous area. If your ceiling is textured, be sure to use a sturdy piece of cloth that won't fall apart.
