How do you remove excess grout from newly laid bricks?

Knock off the bigger pieces, then wash the wall of bricks with a solution of diluted muriatic acid applied with a sprayer, then brush with a stiff bristle brush, and rinse very thoroughly. Exercise extreme caution with the acid and follow directions on the bottle closely.
