I recently had a SAP-9 drug test performed for work and it DID NOT test positive for opiods/opiates or provide ANYTYPE of false positive. I took them up to the date of the test, close to 12-15/day (tramadol 50mg). Hope this helps someone, because I was worrying as well!

A little more info...Note that Tramadol is an atypical opioid. This means the test for it may be, by the tester's standards, ineffective, and that this may not remain this way.

I JUST passed the 5 panel drug test while taking Tramadol. I was very nervous. My doctor had given me a script to help me wean off Vicodin. Well, I ran out so I ordered a bottle from the internet. I was taking about 6 daily when I passed the test just yesterday.

**I did some research and I know that if you take a Healthcare Professionals Drug Screen, they DO test for Tramadol. It is fast becoming one of the most addictive drugs on the market because it's NOT a controlled substance. But, the 5 panel does not test for Tramadol to date. However, Tramadol is under review by the FDA and may soon become a controlled substance. And once it is considered a controlled substance, they will test for it!!!

PLEASE be careful with this drug. One night, I had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. A friend of mine had TWO seizures within a month while taking this medication. After having my seizure and knowing that my friend had two, I STILL kept taking it in large doses. I don't want to lecture anyone but please know this is HIGHLY addictive. I'm in the process of weaning my body and I'm down to 3 per day. By Monday, I should be off these things for good. I will never mess with this stuff again!!

But, my 5 panel test (OPI, COC, THC, PCP, METH/AM.) tested for the below drugs.

• Amphetamines (including Methamphetamine, "Crystal Meth")

• Cannabinoids (THC, Marijuana)

• Cocaine

• Opiates (Codeine, Morphine, Heroin)

• Phencyclidine (PCP)

In most cases, the 5 panel test doesn't test for Oxycodone, Vidcodin. But, more and more places are including Oxy, Vic, etc. in the 5 panel tests because abuses of controlled substances are on the rise. The 7, 9, 10, and 12 panel drug screens do test for Oxycodone, Vidcodin, Loratab, Lorcet, etc. There is a specific test for Tramadol which they use if you are in the Healthcare industry. Which test they perform really depends on the job you are applying for and which screening facility you get tested at. Do your research online. Most facilities outline the screening process.

Please know that I'm not encouraging anyone to fraudulently pass a drug test nor am I judging anyone. Opiate addiction is tough to break. I know; I have been fighting it for years off and on. The best thing you can do is get help. I just want you to have the same information I had so you can make the best decision for yourself. As a struggling addict, I'm begging everyone to stay AWAY from Tramadol!! It is dangerous. Trust me.
