What are the pros and cons of being in an open marriage?

If you are in an open marriage that means that both you and your wife get to sleep around with anyone they want, and the other person has nothing to say about that. They go where they want, when they want, they aren't home slaving over a cooked meal and the certainly don't have to pay for anything they don't want to pay for. Do you see any downsides to an open marriage now?

May be seen as fashionable by some people.

Cons:

Higher rate of STDs.

Courting other people can be expensive, and time consuming.

May be looked down upon by some people.

Lack of possession of the other.

Intimacy issues.

Continual competition and comparison to others.
