AnswerYes, Muslims can touch dogs. Nowhere in the Quran is touching or owning dogs forbidden.
Some believe that dogs are unclean and should not be kept indoors, but can still be kept as guard dogs, sheep dogs, hunting dogs, guide dogs, etc.
AnswerIt may appear in their society that they cannot touch dogs due to their religion. This is in fact incorrect. If you actually study the Quran (their bible) it in fact states nothing about the ability to not touch or pet dogs in any way. Therefore we can take from this, that this is how the society has developed over time. So one person may not have liked dogs and said it was in the Quran to avoid any disturbance. This then passed through the generations until many, many Muslims believe that they cannot touch dogs.
they can lol :)
