Any history on Turkish van cats?

This cat is from Turkey and is naturally occurring cat .The latter cat (the Turkish van, or just the Turkish) is a true breeding variety of the Angora that arose in the wintery Lake Van regien of Turkey- hence the name Turkish Van. Given its hertige the cat loves swimming and splashing in water, the opposite to the Angora.
