What kind of fish can you buy at Walmart?

Goldfish, guppies, Betta, algae eaters, Koi, and sometimes tetras

All the Walmarts are different so you really just have to go look and see for yourself but I recommend going to a Petsmart or a Petco if you have one around. The prices might be higher but it is worth it in the long run.
