My best friend just told me that she likes me i told her that i liked her to and asked if you should date she said stay friends what does that mean and shes 10 and im 12?

she does like like you but she might not feel comfotable with dating and having that kind of relationship. Cause even though someones got deep feelings doesn't exactly mean their comfortable getting involved, they more then most likely want to but like I said they just don't feel comfortable. Wait a year or 2 then ask again being that shell be older she might feel better about getting involved in that way.
