Why do little brothers always get away with stuff?

Little brothers often get away with things because parents may be more lenient with them, viewing them as the "baby" of the family. Additionally, older siblings might inadvertently overlook their mischief, either out of a desire to protect them or a belief that they should be allowed some freedom. Their charm and innocence can also lead adults to give them the benefit of the doubt more often than not.
