What is a psychopathological phenomenon?

A psychopatholgocial phenomenon is an abnormal (pathological) psychological symptom as seen with a mental disorder.

A psychopathological symptom appears in a persons mind when abnormal thinking, feeling or behavior is recognized.

Terms of psychopathological phenomenon have been introduced in psychiatry and constitute the basis of psychiatric knowledge since certain kinds abnormal thinking, feeling and behavior are recognized as the consequence of mental illness or mental disorder.
