AnswerNo. It took an hour for doing just the top set on mine.....I still have to go back and get the bottoms put on. They will use glue to stick a "bracket" to the centre of each tooth. Then they will use a wire that joins to each bracket which will be stiff and bring your teeth into place. Around each bracket they put a tiny elastic band to keep the wire in place on the bracket.
They will put two large metal rings around your back teeth to anchor the wire in place. A metal brace will run up from the ring, across the roof of your mouth to the other ring.
Then depending on the person, you may get other "equipment" to help straighten your teeth. "Head gear" is common, which is a device that goes around the back of your head and puts pressure on your mouth. You wear it at night.
They may use "lackeys" to put a smaller amount of pressure on gaps.
After putting on the braces, many people find their teeth are sore for the first couple of days. My sister was very sore, and ate nothing but yoghurt. I didn't have any trouble at all. Your teeth should move into place very quickly, but then you have to continue to wear the braces until they "settle" into that place as they will move straight back if you take it off.
After a couple of months, the orthodontist may change the wire in your mouth to a stronger wire which will move your teeth even further.
Good luck!
